Two of 14 species of Bushman candle, all semi-succulent members of the Geranium family. Both of these species are confined to the Eastern Cape Province, S. camdeboense in the eastern Great Karroo, centred around Graaff-Reinet, and S. vanderietiae in and around the Great Fish River Valley.
