An excellent but rather under-rated black and white pictorial history of South Africa at around 1936, running through the history of the various provinces with excellent footnotes accompanying each photograph, and including regions such as Southern and Northern Rhodesia, South West Africa, Swaziland, Basutoland, Bechuanaland, etc... book condition is very good, dark brown boards with blind-stamped Springbok emblem on front and gilt spine title, end-papers and page-edges browned and spotted, slight wear to spine ends, some interior spotting, "Sunday Express/Sunday Tribune Empire Exhibition Edition" stamp on front half-title. 512pp. total. A heavy item (±1.6kg) - may require extra postage.
