Limited De Luxe Edition, number 373 of 500 signed by both author and artist on bookplate tipped in on front pastedown. pp 24 + 250 colour plates from watercolours by the artist + [vi] (index). Full leather boards, gilt titling on spine, lower board edges and corners slightly rubbed. DJ rubbed with chipped edges, in protective brodart. Small light brown spot on text block fore edge. Some slight discolouration around edges of endpapers.

We specialise in Africana with a focus on early travellers, explorers, hunters and missionaries; South African fauna and flora, fiction, bibliographies, history, the Anglo Boer war and Rhodesia. Apart from our Africana collection, our bookshops in Richmond - which consist of four Karoo-style houses, six converted stables and other outbuildings - house used books ranging from Afrikaans, Art, Aviation, Biographies, Cuisine, English fiction, History, Natural History, Religion, Sport, Trains & Railways, Warfare to Youth literature. We welcome visitors with a love of books to our bookshops and to this unique part of our country. We are open from Mondays to Saturdays from 09h00 – 17h00 and on Sundays by appointment.
