Description:
This book is being sold for the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Library to raise funds. Original green simulated leather boards with gilt titling on the spines. Both volumes have their original dust jackets. Volume one has xvi prelims, 284 text pages, full colour plates, maps, drawings. Volume two has ix prelims, a map, and the pagination continues from 284 to 597. PLEASE note that the colour plates are numbered to 727, but these numbers represent the species number and not the plate number. CONDITION DETAILS: The dust jackets have some creasing and edge wear, and the dust jacket of volume one has library reference sticker damage on the spine. The usual ex-library stamps, stickers, etc.
