Rebound modern hardcover, preserving the original front cover, original spine titles laid down on new spine, new end-papers. Pp. (v),378, 60 photographic portraits, 2 folding maps. Apart from the 60 portraits, together with biographical text, there is an introductory essay on the war and as a conclusion, records of service of all officers involved in the war. A major book on the Anglo-Zulu War. SABIB, 3/216. Cover a bit marked, lacks the half-title page, slight insect damage to title-page (repaired), some foxing.
