(Provenance of all the snake books offered by Gandolph's Books on this auction are M. Hurry - who inherited the copyright and books from Vivian Fitzsimons) Original green cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine and the upper board. Black end papers. Folding colour frontis plate. xvi prelims, 550 pages followed by a page of the publisher's advertisements, profusely illustrated in black and white. CONDITION DETAILS: The binding is worn and faded, a few small worm holes, edge wear and a tear about 7 cm along the bottom hinge. Some foxing/spotting. Some creases to the folding frontis.
