Numbered 293 of an edition limited to 350 signed copies. (Books of Africa published the first edition ten years earlier in 1970) Contained in the original slip case. Original full dark blue leather binding with raised bands and gilt titling on the spine and the upper board. 12 prelims, 34 colour plates, each with a leaf of text. CONDITION DETAILS: This book spent some years at the coast and has all the signs: The first and last few pages have browning/spotting. Much of the gilt on the spine has faded or been rubbed off, making the title unclear.
