Czech: An annotated Bibliography of African Big Game hunting Books, 1785 to 1950, page 143/144, ‘The authors traveled up the Chobe River to explore the unknown reaches of that waterway from its confluence with the Zambezi to the Okavango River. There are numerous recountings of sporting adventures including lion, sable, hippopotamus, eland, and rhinoceros. “It is a most peculiar sensation to have a rhinoceros charge one in the open. The elastic bounds of the great black mass, with the horn at the executive end swaying from side to side as the head swings in unison with the rest of the animal, have anything but a reassuring effect.” After a failed elephant hunt, giraffe was bagged, as were additional lion and a variety of antelope species. A very difficult work to locate, and valuable for its descriptions of the region.’
