The National Army Museum Book of the Boer War (1999)

Carver, Field Marshal Lord

Description:

This is an excellent copy of the first impression, unmarked, unread and not price-clipped (25 pounds). Its only small flaw is slight insect damage to the (red) back free endpaper.

Using the resources of the National Army Museum in the U K, Carver was able to make liberal use of previously unpublished first-person accounts.

xviii + 301 pp of text, glossary and index + 7 maps + frontispiece and 47 inserted glossy plates.

This lot will appeal to collectors of Anglo-Boer War material who missed the first impression when it was published 12 years ago.
