The 7 volumes are contained in 7 custom built slip cases with brown cloth, hand marbled paper and laminated insets to indicate the volume. Volume 1 - The original announcement of the publication with the order form is loosely inserted. Sematuride and Geometridae. Original brown cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine. Original dust jacket that is a plain sheet of light brown paper. xi prelims, 376 pages, 130 black and white in text figures, followed by a plate section with 15 images. Volume 2 - Geometridae (concluded) Original cloth boards as above, but the dust jacket has titling and a picture of Janse\'s laboratory on the upper side. 6 prelims, 448 pages, 129 in text figures, followed by 15 black and white plates. Volume 3 - Cymatophoridae, Callidulidae and Noctuide (partim). Bound as above with a dust jacket similar to Vol 2 with printing only on the upper side. Full colour frontis. xv prelims, 435 pages, 102 in text figures. Plates with next volume. Volume 4 - Jugatae, Adelidae and Nepticlidae. Bound in two volumes in the same style as the previous volumes. The text volume has xxv prelims and 185 pages. The plates volume has plates for this AND vol. 3 numbered to 94. Volume 5 - Gelechiadae. Here the binding changes to paperback format with titling on the upper wrap only. This volume comprises of 8 separate books. The first two are uncut, therefore unused. 300 pages and 136 plates in total. Volume 6 - Gelechiadae - 4 separate booklets. Total of 284 pages and 138 plates. Volume 7 - Limacodidae - 139 pages, 44 plates including 4 colour plates. CONDITION DETAILS: Surprisingly good.
