2 Volume set. Oppenheimer Series Number One. Original red cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine and a coat of arms gilt device on the upper boards. Top edges gilt. Volume one has xv prelims, 382 pages, a full colour frontis, 2 black and white plates and a folding map at the rear. Volume 2 has 10 prelims, 295 pages, 3 black and white plates and the folding map at the rear. CONDITION DETAILS: The pen name "Alice Currey" occurs on both front paste downs. Internally clean, but for some spotting/foxing on the first and last few pages. The bindings have been sunned, especially the spine of volume one. The bindings have a few other soil marks, and light edge wear.
