Description:

This lot is being sold on behalf of the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Library to raise funds. Original blue cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine. The end papers are dark brown. A large folding map at the frontis, vii prelims, 271 pages. CONDITION DETAILS: The free front end paper is loose. Spine darkened and one corner of the binding is very worn with some loss of cloth. Publishers paper fold flaw at one bottom corner. There is some soiling and staining throughout. The front paste down has a library sticker and the "Withdrawn" stamp is on the obverse of the free front end paper.
