Crown 8vo; original pictorial boards; decorative endpapers; pp. xv + (iii) + 198 + (i). Spine darkened and fragile at head and tail; archival tape reinforcing to hinges; pages somewhat browned. Good condition. "The Harrow, written in 1904 but published only seventeen years later, is perhaps the most famous of his longer works, and describes the horrific sufferings endured by the Boer inhabitants of Jagersdorp." - Adey, et al: Companion to South African English Literature, p. 177.
