80 pages, 8 aquatint illustrations including the frontispiece, title page vignette (title printed in red and green) within a decorative border and 6 aquatint plates – all with loose tissue guards, full light blue and pink morocco with a gilt design of fighting cocks on the upper cover and gilt titling on the spine – bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, top edge gilt, other edges uncut, a second suite of the illustrations in a pocket in the back cover, contained in a green cloth slip case which is a little faded around the lip, a very good copy.

Designed, produced, and published by Christopher Sandford at the Golden Cockerel Press. Composition and presswork under the supervision of E.T. Kelly at the Chiswick Press. The Edition is limited to 360 numbered copies printed on Arnold’s mould-made paper in Caslon’s Old Face type. Nos. 1 – 60 are specially bound and contain in a gusset a second set of the eight illustrations with an extra one (in this copy one of the eight illustrations is not present but the extra plate is included), all printed by hand from copper plates.
