Original dark green cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine and the upper board. viii prelims, 308 pages, frontis portrait, a second portrait, a large folding map, 2 full page maps, 3 in text sketch maps followed by 39 pages of Methuen's catalogue of books. CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has some edge wear, some scarring (white marks) and the corners are bumped. The end papers are browned. The folding map has been repaired with tape. Several text pages have a small, light stain mark on the bottom right hand side.
