THE END OF THE GAME

Beard, Peter

Description:

Grey linen-covered boards with titles imprinted on front and spine. Dust jacket illustrated with photograph of elephants. Historical photographs of hunting in Central Africa, including pictures of Karen Blixen, Selous and Roosevelt. Pages 1-280. Both dust jacket and book in Very Good condition except for untidy previous owner's signature on front free endpaper. A shocking story of the destruction of the animals of Kenya. In spite of conservation measures the animals seem to be doomed. The starkness of some of the elephant photographs may produce an awareness of the need for a last-minute effort to save paradise. Reduced in price because of the untidy signature on the ffe.
