The Diary of Adam Tas 1705-1706 (1914, ex-lib) . . .

Fouche, Leo (ed)

Description:

. . . With an enquiry into the complaints of the colonists against the Governor, Willem Adriaan van der Stel

In Dutch and English, with two maps.

Although ex-library and almost a hundred years old, the bookblock of this copy is complete and, with the exception of the usual libary stamps and stickers, mainly on the front endpapers, clean, as are the maps and back endpapers.

In original red cloth boards, blind embossed to front and faded gilt to faded spine. The hinges are sound but the spine is torn along part of the join with the front cover and at the head. A library barcode and reference are taped to the foot of the spine and the back cover.

This is a good reading copy of this rare and valuable book that would merit cleaning up and rebinding.
