463 pages, colour frontispiece, 56 colour plates, diagrams, original blue cloth, gilt titling on the spine and measurement ruler in gilt on the back cover - recased preserving the backstrip, foxing on the backs of the plates (the paper used for plates is curious as it seems to be coated only on the printed side), the title page is foxed, the contents are slightly curled at the edges but are free of foxing, some light spotting on the page edges.
