Description:
Baker took over from Speke and Grant and pursued the sources of the Nile. The bakers ended their quest on the shores of Lake Albert, after many trials, privations and ill-health. 371 +372 pp with engraved plates anmd text illustrations (all present) and folding map, which has been repaired. One page has slight damage in bottom margin with slight loss. Generally good condition in slightly worn, gilt decorated covers, eps replaced. Slight foxing throughout and ownership stamp on tps.
