Original dark blue cloth boards with gilt decorations and titling on the spine and blind stamped decorartions on the boards. All edges gilt. Black end papers. 19 prelims, 268 pages, frontis portrait with tissue guard and a further 14 black and white illustations and a fold out map at the rear. CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has a little edge wear, a darkened spine, etc., but is still reasonably fresh and clean. The end papers are cracked, but the joints are still firm. Internally clean, with the occasional light soil mark.
