Czech: An annotated Bibliography of African Big Game hunting Books, 1785 to 1950, page 76, ‘Accompanied by American sportsman W. Fitzhugh Whitehouse, Hindlip entered Abyssinia and managed to bag hartebeest from horseback with a .38 Colt revolver near the River Hawash. After his disappointing Abyssinian trip, he returned to England and prepared for a safari to British East Africa. Near Lake Baringo, he bagged kudu, rhinoceros, and oryx. After crossing the Molo River, he enjoyed additional sport after rhino and lion. On a second trip to East Africa in 1905, he bagged lion, giraffe, and elephant near the Elgeyo Forest. The lengthy appendices includes the detailed game regulations of the day.’
