Mounted group photograph, 150 x 200 mm (mount 245 x 300 mm), signed on the back in pencil by all who appear in the photograph. The mount and back are soiled.
There are about 55 men in the photograph. Surnames include: Wilkinson, Robertson, Mansfield, Miller, Glynn, Wilson, Munro, Cowan, Woodhead, Black, Brown, Colenbranger, Bland & Foxcroft.
The back is headed in manuscript: S.A. Heavy Artillery. Left Cape Town, 6th November 1916, per R.M.S. Windsor Castle.
