2 Volume set of the May 1882 reprint of the second edition. Original green cloth bindings with gilt titling on the spines and a gilt decoration on each upper board. Each volume has a black and white frontispiece. Both volumes have black end papers. Volume one has viii preims, a double page map of the world, 351 pages. Volume two has 8 prelims and 343 pages followed by 4 pages of the publisher's advertisements. CONDITION DETAILS: The bottom portion of the spine of volume 1 has been repaired with a piece of green rexine. A piece of volume 2's frontis, at the top and not affecting the text, has been cut out.
