Portrait of Indian South Africans (1969)
Meer, Fatima
Description:
This liberally illustrated 236 pp large-format volume overcomes its unprofessional production with the author's loving and involved treatment.
The badly chipped dustjacket is now protected in a plastic sleeve. The orange cloth-board covers, black design and type to front, spine and back, have brightly withstood the hands of many readers -- though this copy has none of the signs of library ownership. The photographic endpapers are clean, as are the rest of the photographs and text, printed on art-paper. There are owner's and address stamps on the flyleaf and the first few leaves are water-stained at their top outer edges.
An acceptable copy of an invaluable record of the lives Indian South Africans.

He regularly visits Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town and offers to deliver heavy or valuable books or sets to these cities on such visits.
