Description:

A pair of carved solid wooden boots with details of stitches and laces and studs, and inscribed "1900-1902 - Ceylon" made by an unknown Boer prisoner of war. The inkwell has a hinged wooden cover, and the ashtray has a snug fitting brass bowl (removable). One of the "laces" has a section missing (about one inch).
