PAINTING AS A PASTIME by WINSTON CHURCHILL - 1949
Winston S. Churchill
Description:
A slim volume of 32 pages of text and 32 pages of colour plates of paintings. Bound in linen colour cloth with gilt title to front and spine. Black & white frontispiece of Churchill.
The cover is somewhat grubby with visible wear and tear to edges of the linen. Text pages are lightly foxed towards the ends of the text-block. Owners name has been penned to inside front cover. There are a few ink underlinings on some of the text pages and a page of notes has been penned to one side of the rear end-paper. It is apparent that this was a 'working' reference book. The binding is still tight and secure.
