2 Large hard cover Quarto volumes bound in full morocco and are housed in a very good beige slip case, lightly foxed. Vol.1 has 422 pages and Vol.2 has 80 pages.
Designed, produced and published by Christopher Sandford at the Golden Cockerel Press in London. Printed on Arnold’s mould-made paper and finished on the 4th of October, 1945.
The engravings on the tittle page and the designs on the buildings are by John Buckland Wright.
The edition is limited to 500 copies, of which numbers 1-50 are bound in full morocco, hand tooled and contain a collotype reproduction of a passage text written by the Emperor’s own hand.
This copy is number 25 and is signed by Somerset De Chair.
