This the very scarce Subscriber's Edition, this being copy 13/400: red boards, dark brown half leather binding; signed and dated by Wolhuter below the portrait frontispiece; 313pp. plus 3p. index. Illustrations by C.T.Astley-Maberly.
Condition: the boards are in a very good condition, top corners a little bumped and worn, and a lightly rubbed spine area. The end-papers are very good, with the 'certification page' being foxed at the edges, and other occasional finger marks/foxing in various places throughout the text (estimate 10% spotting/foxing), as well as some spotting to the page edges. The majority of the contents are clean and bright, and the binding is still firm, making this a very nice copy.
