630 pages, illustrations, maps as endpapers, black cloth - top corners bumped, a very good copy in the dust jacket which is slightly worn along the edges and is now preserved in a Brodart protector.
Presentation inscription on the half title page reads, 'To Tina Molefe, compliments & best wishes to a wonderful young lady. N. Mandela, 3.5.95'
Tina Molefe, also known as Tina Jana Molefe, is the biological daughter of Pinda and Popo Molefe. She was brought up by Ambassador Priscilla Jana from the age of five months. Priscilla Jana was also an attorney, primarily practicing as a Human Rights lawyer who defended many celebrities in this country, including Popo Molefe who was charged for treason and was the Secretary General of the United Democratic Front. She also represented Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu, Govan Mbeki, Archbishop Tutu and others.
Pinda Molefe was then experiencing tremendous difficulty as she herself was a political activist. Priscilla Jana offered to raise her child until their lives normalized but, in fact, Tina remained with Priscilla throughout. Tina graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Political Science and History from Trinity College Dublin and did her Master’s Degree at the University College of Dublin in Gender Studies. She has just completed her training in Diplomacy with the Department of International Relations and Cooporation.
