This is less common hardcover edition of this very scarce book - by far the first book about Stern and No. 51 of the Junge Kunst series which also featured monographs on Picasso and Kandinsky, amongst others. It has ownership stamps of a German Art School (Aachen Kunstoewerbeschule)on both front and rear pastedowns, the ffep. and on the blank lower half of pp.29. There is also a small round green sticker at the top of the front board and a neat word and number on the ffep. Apart from these features, the book is in exceptionally clean near fine condition in the 1/4 cloth binding with boards illustrated with an Irma Stern drawing. 29pp. of text and 32pp. of illustrations. A very collectable copy of this desirable title.
