Historical Records of the South Nottinghamshire Hussars Yeomanry 1794 to 1924

Fellows, George, and Benson Freeman

Description:

Small 4to; original stiff card lettered in yellow on spine; regimental emblem and lettering in yellow to upper cover; pp. xxii + 351, incl. index; 3 folding maps, in colours; six full-colour plates; seventeen monochrome plates, incl. frontis. (one of the 18 plate captions listed in the contents in fact applies to a second image appearing on the same page as another image). Spine a bit darkened; cover very slightly bumped; occasional minor spotting. A very good copy. By the time this book was written, the regiment had suffered the lot of all cavalry units in the aftermath of the Great War, and, no longer mounted, had become part of the Royal Artillery Brigade. The volume contains much on the Anglo-Boer War and Gallipoli.
