Demy 8vo; original blue cloth, lettered in gilt on spine and with gilt regimental device to upper cover; dustwrapper; endpaper maps; pp. xi + (i) + [417-768] + index; several plates; maps. Dustwrapper edgeworn, and sunned on spine panel, with archival tape repair to reverse of tail; bottom fore-corners very slightly bumped. Very good condition. A detailed treatment of the unit's campaigns during the century leading up to the start of the First World War, including the Crimean War, and much from South Africa: East Griqualand, the Anglo-Zulu War, and the Anglo-Boer War. This, the second volume, is rather uncommon.
