Gesamentlike Werke (Centenary Edition in 16 vols; 1972-3)

Langenhoven, C J

Description:

This is a fine unmarked set of the authoritative collected edition of Langenhoven's works published under the supervision of Sarah Goldblatt, the writer's daughter and literary executrix, to mark the centenary of the birth of this famous South African (who, among many works, authored Die Stem). The catalogue of all his writings, indicating the volumes of the set in which they will be found, is printed at the back of Volume 16.

The only blemish is some chipping of the dustjackets (see the first image). The other images include a portrait of Langenhoven and details of the titling, the attractive orange cloth and the blind embossing of the centenary years "1873 1973".
