Description:
The binding has been replaced with a 1950's maroon simulated leather spine and book cloth. The old spine has been loosely tacked on and the titling and decoration from the original binding glued to the upper board. New end papers. xxv prelims, 315 pages, 59 black and white photographic illustrations, 2 maps, one folding. CONDITION DETAILS: The old spine has been loosely tacked onto the new spine and needs a bit of glue to fasten it on. The folding map at the rear has a few pieces of tape used to repair tears. The plates are clean, but the text pages have some foxing throughout.
