Description:
Original decorated cloth boards, with gilt titling on the spine and brown titling on the upper board. xvi prelims, 368 pages, colour plates after paintings by Margaret Thomas, each with a titled tissue guard, black and white photographs, giving a total of 86 illustrations, followed by a fold out map at the rear. CONDITION DETAILS: The gilt on the spine is faded and there is a little wear and soiling to the binding. Some foxing throughout, but not affecting the plates. The edge of the map at the rear is curled, very browned, with a few very small tears and a bit of foxing.
