Description:

Blue plate with gilt design and border with a white centre and a portrait of Roberts. "Field-Marshall Lord Roberts, V.C," Maker's mark on the back, Stanley Pottery, Co., Burslem, England beneath a crown.

220 mm in diameter, light rubbing and wear of the gilt design and edges. No date, post Boer War, circa 1910. The Stanley Pottery was based at Newport Lane, Middleport, Burslem from about 1909-1937.

Roberts was promoted to Field Marshall in 1895.
