This book is being sold for the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Library to raise funds. (The same author also wrote "A Breath from the Veldt"). Original dark red cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine. x prelims, list of illustrations, map, followed by 254 pages. The black and white illustrations are from art work by the author, H.R. Millais and from photographs. CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has a little edge wear, a mark on the spine where a library mark was removed, and a bit of sunning. The end papers are browned. The is some foxing/spotting throughout.
