Original brown cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine and a black blind stamped border pattern on all sides. Dark brown end papers. xi prelims, 32 black and white drawn illustrations and a large folding map. CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has been repaired, but this is not very noticeable - the binding is tight, indicating that glue was used. A short tear on the upper hinge was repaired with glue. A piece of tape was used to repair a closed tear to the folding map. A patch on the front free end paper indicates that a label was removed.
