Sold on behalf of the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Library. Original blue cloth boards with gilt titling on the spine and the upper board. Original dust jacket. xii prelims, 36 in text figures and 49 text pages followed by the 113 full page black and white plates and 5 pages on Index. CONDITION DETAILS: The binding has several patches of wear and loss of surface on the bottom from shelf wear. The dust jacket is intact but is scruffy from edge wear, a bit of soiling and creases. The front hinge was cracked, but has been repaired with tape - see image. Overall, a reference copy only.
