xii, 312 pages, frontispiece and 17 plates 4 of which have tissue guards with descriptive captions - plate at page 86 loose and soiled around the edges, folding map. Original dark green cloth with gilt titling and vignette on the upper cover. The cloth is lightly insect scarred an worn along the edges and at the top and bottom of the spine, page edges uncut, inscriptions of previous owners on the half title page and the verso of the frontispiece, folding map is torn at the first fold, some light foxing throughout.

On this extensive safari, the pair bagged rhinoceros, lion, buffalo, hippopotamus, eland, elephant, and other game. There is also a letter written by Harvey describing a lengthy hunt along the Tana River.’
