Description:
An original issue No. 1 dated Monday 10th. Sept 1900, price 20 cents. This 4 pp. newspaper was published and printed by Boer Prisoners of War in Diyatalawa Camp, Ceylon, under the names of E. Suwalski, W. A. Luecke & RO. Dunlop. It contais many interesting advertisements such as Professor Fraser in Hut 14 who may be consulted for Palmistry; H. Rill in Hut 15, Pipe Carver. A long poem in German entitled Die beiden Arbeitsamen. A long tear without loss in the bottom section has been carefully reapired with archival tape otherwise in very good condition.
