CAPE COLONY TO-DAY - 1907. First edition

Alfred R. E. Burton

Description:

Book Description: 315pp, Hardcover. Wine-coloured cloth. Profusely illustrated with many b/w photographs and route maps. A Folding map is also included as a loose insert.

Book Condition: Cover is faded with extensive mottling on front and back boards, which would indicate exposure to moisture at some stage. Surprisingly the text is clean with no foxing. There are some small tears at the bottom of the first 3 leaves. The binding is still tight. Pages iii and iv (possible title page) are missing.

In the interest of preserving an important and fascinating bit of Cape Colony history, this scarce antiquarian book is now also being printed on demand. "Because this work is culturally important, we have made it available as a part of our commitment to protecting, preserving and promoting the world's literature."

However, this is the real thing!
