English wicket-keeper Evans' autobiography of his cricket career during the 1940's, including tours to Australia, New-Zealand and The West Indies. This copy has a collection of 26 autographs on the verso of the title-page, including the likes of Jackie McGlew, T.Goddard, B.Armitage, Brian Statham, P.M.Dodds, E.B.Rowan, C.G.Burger, J.M.Cole, G.Griffin, etc... Book condition: no dust-jacket, the book now covered with red leatherette which has been stuck down, prelims and rear end-papers heavily foxed, and general foxing and finger-smudges throughout, owner inscription on f.f.e-p., binding is good.
