Description:
Book Description: xviii + 548pp + 10pp. Dark sage green cloth with black stamped titling to the front board and black rules, dulled gilt titling to the spine. Numerous line illustrations and b/w plates.
Book Condition: Two small rubber-stamps to inside front EP and half-title page. Small 5mm tear to top of Title-page. Minimal edge-wear to cover and spine. Bindings are tight. A very good plus clean copy.
This volume forms the Second Half of Barth's 'Travels in Northern and Central Africa', and this half covers Timbuktu, Sokoto, the Basins of the Niger and Benuwe.
