A collection of 25 reproduction photographs of Anglo-Boer War incidents, loose in an envelope. Approximate size: 15 x 13 cm, each photo includes handwritten text from the original source. Handwritten on the envelope: "25 photos from old Boer War album, compiled by S. Smith, Despatch Rider for number of war correspondents (Owned by Mr Wilkinson). One of the photos shows S. Smith, despatch rider, a number of photos show the Royal Irish Fusiliers and others parading through Durban, others show Johannesburg at the beginning of the war, incidents at various places during the war, etc. etc.. The envelope was addressed to Denis Godfrey, Africana expert and journalist.
