Contains 75 6inch x 8 inch sepia photographs and numerous post-card size and smaller photographs of scenes from the Anglo-Boer War.Most appear to be taken in and around Newcastle. A number have the name R E Gell on them. Also in the album is a page of ''Highest prices realised for Goods sold by Public Auction during the Siege of Ladysmith.....dated 21.2.1900. Cover of album bumped and chipped,and most of the pages have rust spots, although the photographs are in good to very good condition.
