A very good copy of this scarce title on the early diamond and gold discoveries in places such as Kimberley, Wesselton, Koffiefontein, Lichtenburg, Alexander Bay, Pilgrim's Rest, Barberton, The Rand, The Robinson Mile, Modderfontein. Also a chapter on Platinum, asbestos and copper, another on Types of Treasure Seekers, The Natives, and finally The Boer In The Background, Boer and Uitlander, etc... black and white photos and illustrations are included, the dark blue boards are in excellent condition (gilt spine title), owner dedication on f.f.e-p., small portrait sticker affixed to half-title, patches of light foxing throughout, 288pp.
