By way of introduction, I entered the book trade, on leaving university in 1970,when joining the family firm, Chas J. Sawyer (Est. 1894), at that time in Grafton Street, London W1. Forty years have resulted in a good general knowledge in all areas of the antiquarian book trade.
Particular areas of interest and expertise are Africana (19th. Century), Bibliography and Reference, Churchilliana, Ephemera, Fine Bindings, and Kentish material.
