Advocate S.(Fanie) Schoeman's first book on saltwater angling in South Africa. He was already well known for his radio talks and reports on saltwater angling in South Africa. He later went on to write the epic 'Strike', fondly regarded as the all-time Bible on salt-water angling in South Africa.
The author writes the following dedication to his mentor, his father; "Hierdie boek word opgedra aan my vader. As daar ooit van 'n man gese kan word dat hy n deskundige op die gebied van hengelsport was, was my Vader daardie man. 'n Ware sportman, 'n ervare en bedrewe hengelaar, 'n liefhebber van die see en alles wat daarin was en 'n man wat nooit te moeg of te ongeduldig was on ander te laat baat uit sy rype ervaring, kennis en waarneming nie; so 'n man was my Vader, in tere herinnering aan wie hierdie boek die lig sien.
DW is rather tatty but all the flaps are present. The book has only minor shelf-wear to edges. The front free EP has some moth damage to the edge. Otherwise the book is clean and tight and in very good condition throughout.
