xv, 421 pages, folding partly hand coloured map, original blue cloth gilt with the endpapers intact, page edges uncut. The cloth is slightly darkened on the spine and binding is leaning, contents good.

The vessel made its way up the Zambesi to meet the famous missionary explorer, David Livingstone. During the journey the sailors enjoyed a little sport with hunts after waterbuck, buffalo and hippo.’
